Maybe it is important and will help counter the attacks on Mueller by questioning their motives but I don't really think it's a game changing revelation that donors who gave to Trump also happened to donate to other Repubs and those loyal to Trump.

12. I agree. It's similar to DT arguing that there was something nefarious

about the Democratic governor of Virginia's PAC giving money to the Democratic candidate for Senate. (And arguing that it had something to do with Hillary.)

if the Mercers were involved in something being investigated????

I'm asking questions. I have no information.

Obstruction of justice can encompass a lot.

I don't know. Just thinking out loud.

government who is our enemy to interfere with our elections.

If this was true about the Democratic Party, there would be no place in the solar system safe for a democrat to hide, nowhere.

9. Well, I would think so. Republican donors donate to most of the Republicans.

They probably donate to Ryan, Turtle, and others. That may be why Hatch is thinking of running again: some money coming his way.

It IS newsworthy, but did he have to present it as "hold on to your seat, get ready for something big" kind of news?

Was voter information given to the Russian hackers (assuming there were really Russian hackers)?

Who analyzed and provided the information if any was given to the Russian hackers?

This case could be quite complex. We really don't have enough facts to dismiss any detail as unimportant or to decide that it is important.

We are, however, getting a great view of the fact of the role of money and the potential for corruption due to the role of money in our elections. This is how oligarchies take control. They buy the political mechanisms. And here, we see how wealthy, very wealthy people can buy a politician if they want to. Not saying that happened here, but that may potentially be the story here.

I'd need a lot more facts to be able to judge this situation for sure.
