On bigman pigmans post it got me thinking

On how will trump supporters react when he is convicted by mueller. And it had me thinking never have I seen such a cult in politics like this. And as I sit here having my coffee I think what scares me the most. Is that as humans they have such a blind obedience to the great leader. They would be ok being ruled by authoritarian leader. To quote my brothers sister in law I love my trump. That makes me wonder sure I respected president Obama. And in this last election HRC was our choice. Jokingly I told my brother when the convictions come down , if they Your in laws go to pull a Jonestown. Grab your yellow lab and get out calling 911 is totally optional.

But in talking to hardcore trumptards I see people that are either extremely weak minded or just do not have one clue. But they really enjoy the fact that trump is in charge. Example my brothers brother in law said trump was trying to be a good friend in talking to comey in dropping the Flynn investigation. I’m like huh no that is what you call obstruction of justice his statement floored me.

When the country ditched our election system in 2000 and acted like all the weirdos banging on the doors of the election committees in Florida were a normality, then to top it off the SCOTUS went completely partisan,, I knew our democracy and system of justice was on the outs. The fact the bush-cheney got a second term cemented the lunacy and here we are today - so many weird thick-headed repugs that are beyond reason. The hardcore trumptards are the same people who look the other way when long established laws or rules have been circumvented or broken by the repuglicans in congress, senate and white house. They don't care if we have a democracy, at least not until they will need it. Then it will be too late.

do as they are told. Mindless obedience. We see it all the time. Religion is one good example. This mindlessness opens the door for an authoritarian regime. And the "Stockholm Syndrome" sets in.
