That rich guy who runs the Impeach Trump commercials...

I forget his name.

Seems like he has a lot of means.

I think his money would be better spent by organizing a powerful, massive boycott against any advertiser who peddles their product/service on Fox News. Hit them hard and for a long time. Cut the sales of these companies by 30% or so. Make it so Fox is unable to find advertisers.

As always, it always comes down to hitting them in the pocketbook. Take away their cash. Cut their profits. Just my opinion. Probably a better ROI toward his goal than those commercials, no matter how well intended they are.

Yeah. I think he could be spending his money a bit better. Unfortunately, these commercials don't do anything. I remember signing a petition that had over 2 million other signers (i think) directed at the electoral college which asked them to please not cast their vote for shitgibbon. We all see how that went.

Hell, I'm glad that ANYBODY is fronting a sincere, large-scale impeachment effort. The Democratic Party sure as hell isn't doing so.

a progressive talk radio network to counter the right-wing republican bull$hit that crowds our airwaves 24-hours a day... I'm sure that many of the talkers/hosts would take several years to establish a profitable following but I live in Kansas City and even the "moderate" local talkers sound like Laura Ingraham...

...something people can get day after day, not the occasional commercial. There are plenty of existing liberal blogs and podcasts throughout the company that could use support, and be promoted as a network.

One of the big reasons we’re in the situation we’re in is because conservatives built an entire media counterculture to push their views. It’s as pervasive as background radiation.

On our side, we’ve mainly relied on the mainstream media, treating a liberal partisan media as distasteful or a bad investment. That only allowed the conservatives able to drag the Overton window far to the right, and encouraged lefty outlets to go to extremes and provided RT an opening to act as a “trusted” outlet for critique of American politics.

He actually tried to run his ads on FOX and they quickly took them off the air. It was nice to see FOX forced to acknowledge itself as a partisan right-wing organization.

pile on him or her with complaints. Suddenly I am seeing lots of Democrats complaining about Steyer.

Steyer is putting the two words "Trump" and "impeach" together in the minds of people who otherwise are not hearing it. We need this. He's the only one doing it, and he is doing it effectively.

If YOU want to organize boycotts, then get on it.

He's doing his part.

"trump" + "Impeach." We need that, more and more every single day. Like I said earlier on this thread, it's not as if the Democratic Party is currently coming through for us.

I just think he can get a better return for his money. I do like his commercials though.

Anything I say on a message board is not going to influence him, and his commercials will continue.

My opinion is that a reduction in the influence of Fox news might enable an easier sway of some of the more "reasonable" Trump supporters.

Since you addressed me personally about "getting on it", that's a little difficult with severe health issues and barely having two nickels to rub together. Alright then.

He’s moved on to commercials so I think he’s got a strategy he’s working on as he gets more and more people to sign up for impeaching Trump. I hope he is.

Organizing a boycott at some point might be his plan. It might happen if he gets more of us.

Rupert Murdoch became US citizen to buy up media. He came, not to work or to advance democracy or truth; became to exploit.

The damage done to our country by super rich investment immigrants is immense.

In Murdoch's case there is no respect for the First Amendment and he uses freedom of the press overwhelmingly to lie and mislead, and propagandize. It seems to be a corrupting influence on government of, by, andforthe people.

Not all large corporations are bad.--but too many arenas some are doing great harm

I think it is going to be necessary to start distinguishing among them.
