You paid $750 to listen to the Lawrence Welk Orchestra?

I'm sure that with brilliance like this, they'll be put in charge of making financial decisions for this country.

My heart goes out to Barron. I saw him on TV. He looked as if he'd rather be anywhere else but there. He looked so sad. Poor kid.

Barron, if you're reading this, hang in there. It won't always be like this.

This is what a "wild night" looks like to someone. And you thought you had a bad year!

And the Lawrence Welk orchestra played "How Much is That Doggie in the Window?"as guests surreptitiously glance at watches while pretending to listen to someone else talk about himself again. #WildNight at #MarALago

Edited to add, on Monday morning:

Per reply #32, the tweet about Lawrence Welk is a parody. "Party on the Moon" was the band at the affair. I offer my intense apologies to anyone in the Trump administration who was offended.

Happy New Year anyway. Even if you fell asleep in front of your TV set watching reruns, you did better than the people who had to settle for Mar-a-Lago.

For years the Beach Boys played at the Fourth of July festivities at the Washington Monument. Reagan got elected and he replaced them with Wayne Newton for 2 years. They had to bring back the Beach Boys it was so bad.

Reagan was a big Beach Boys fan and was PISSED at his Secretary of the Interior for doing that, particularly in favor of a low-rent Vegas crooner like Newton. The Boys had other commitments the next year, but came back soon after.

James Watt was one of the bigger GOP dickheads of his day.
