I'd hate to think of what the temperature would be if the sky was clear.

(25,862 posts)12 degrees here (Kansas City area) but lovely clear skies. I even dragged my sister (who's been complaining about the cold nonstop for a week now) out briefly to look at it.

(36,745 posts)On July 31st, Mars will be at its closest approach to Earth since 2003.
It starts the approach in March by appearing in the evening skies.
Too bad we didnt have a manned mission on its way there. It may be more usable than Earth in a few years at our rate.
