I found out from CNN's The History of Comedy that he he died from a disease that is a newly discovered form of Parkinson's called Lewy's Body Dementia. His widow said that is why he killed himself. Actually she said that Lewy's was the cause of death. People suffer through horrid nightmares, hallucinations, inability to use some muscles normally etc. Imagine having his sharp mind one day then all of a sudden this starts to happen to you. It must have been a living nightmare.

But apparently things were so bad for him that he chose to kill himself.

I have a relative with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. He's been in hospice, and in his case his symptoms are being treated and he's vastly better off than he'd been.

I'm pretty sure I heard the diagnosis at the time of his death. It is one of the less common forms of dementia, but I was aware of it as one of the possibilities at the time my spouse was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment ~2009.

In addition, as with Alzheimer's, the diagnosis is only tentative without a post-mortem autopsy.

but it’s a relief to have an answer to his death. I hope this helps others.

Voting machines are compromised. There are red baseball caps.

Similarities are chilling.

Advertisements tried to portray it as more of a comedy than a thriller (and having Robin Williams in the movie seemed to make the confusion worse). If I remember correctly, they made no reference to the actual plot of the movie. It was a good political thriller, but not at all what I was expecting.
