Yes, that's me. "First Baby of the New Decade" and all that; fifteen seconds after midnight.
In my now 48 years on the planet I have seen some changes for sure. I am also part of that "slacker" group known as Gen X...We didn't mean for that to happen, it just kind adid. Much like my own adulthood feels like it just snuck up on me. I look at my chronological age and flinch, not because I feel old...But because for the most part I really don't.
For all the technological advances in my lifetime, and the crazy 1984 nature of our world now...I still feel like I just graduated and wanna just hang out and listen to good music and have a beer with friends (at the good old lookout point, with our car radios all synched lol)

Anyway, I digress.
I just wanted to share a 2018 wish for us all, from me. If my "pull" as a NY Baby has any merit, maybe we'll get our wish
I wish for us ALL to have some peace and serenity within, no matter how crazy the outside world looks. I wish for us all to have that sacred space within us that keeps us balanced...keeps us sane.
I wish for the current crises facing our country from within and without to be rectified quickly, peacefully, and easily. I wish for us to feel good about our Constitution and Society again. I wish for better times when bigotry and terrorism of ALL races, creeds, gender or sexual preference is finally seen as just plain counter-intuitive. and that cooperation & collaboration are valued, as well as what each person can offer.
I wish for abundance and prosperity for we, the hard workers, the backbone of society...and for plenty to be available to those who need it most. I wish that somehow the corporations will be outlawed, or at least most of their business practices regulated properly.
In short...I wish the best for myself, and as I do that, I choose to make that goodness in myself and my life ripple out and enfold all of you as well.
After all, we're all in this together!
