Politico:The liberal icon and Republican bete noire has amassed more money in her campaign war chest than nearly any senator in modern history, groomed political connections with Democrats who've been skeptical of her in the past, and worked to bolster her bipartisan and foreign policy bona fides.
Its part of a conscious break from the heads-down posture that Warren purposefully maintained during the first five years of her Senate career, a wide range of Democrats close to the Massachusetts senator and her tight-knit political operation told POLITICO. And its representative of Warrens tricky navigation between the wishes of advocates who want her cutting a clear path to 2020, and supporters who think her best bet is to run up the score in her reelection race this year.
The balancing act is evident everywhere, as Warren takes steps she never did when activists were pressuring her to jump into the 2016 presidential race.

(4,429 posts)I hope she does run. Even if she doesn't get the nomination, she'd bring important policy ideas to the table that will help us as a party. Also, she's pretty good at dealing with Trump.

(6,110 posts)Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), who are both running for president in 2020, are the early leaders among the eight U.S. senators running or believed to be considering White House bids.
Warren leads the pack with $11 million cash on hand. Gillibrand is not far behind with $10.3 million in the bank.
Go Elizabeth!!!

(2,120 posts).... the endless, endless, ENDLESS shrieks of "LIAWATHA!" and "POCAHONTAS!" from right-wing turds to quadruple. That's literaly all they've got on her: braying and screaming that she "lied" on an application stating she had Cherokee blood (which was actually substantiated, but facts don't matter to these shameless shitbags).
If that day comes we're all going to have to stick with the facts - that she grew up being told she had Cherokee heritage, that she never assumed it was more than 1/32 of her genetic makeup and that she received no benefits or advantage from the claim.
After all these are people who are just fine with Donald Trump lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying and lying, day in, day out, but the moment they want to accuse a Democrat of it, the pitiful whimpering on their part on how wrong it is to be dishonest (which she wasn't) is pathetically hypocritical. But then, that's a Republican for you - a complete and total hypocrite.

(2,120 posts)... refraining from discussing it won't make it go away. These people will be frantically hammering that button like deranged monkeys, screeching that Warren lied on her application so she's unfit to be President.
And just like with the Clinton Foundation, the uranium bullshit, Benghazi, and all the other made-up or exaggerated shit the Republicans flung at Hillary, the topic will not be the economy, jobs, taxes, health care, the environment or foreign relations, but endless news cycles along the theme of "Why does Liz Warren have a credibility problem?" and "Did Warren really earn two teaching jobs through deliberate deceit?"
Unless it's laid to rest by Warren and her supporters so the disgusting Trump monkeys don't get to frame the narrative.

(17,622 posts)..sadly they already have her labeled and deplorables believe all that crap. I'm wanting someone with the fangs and claws needed to shred the smug out of the GOP. That person..in my opinion....hasn't emerged yet altho Biden comes mighty close.
