Wow! No male anchor. That's kinda big.

(1,822 posts)Seems fine for the human interest and post 7:30 stuff but if serious news breaks during the newscast I dont see them bringing the "gravitas" to the table needed. Maybe it will grow on me. But i still see Hoda as being the one with Kathy Lee drinking wine while reading the news and Savannah as the 1 Matt Lauer got in there cause he couldnt handle sharing the "serious" stuff with Ann Curry.

(5,914 posts)He was just as ridiculous as any other current morning show host, if not more.
The days of Hugh Downs, Barbara Walters, and Frank Blair are looooong gone.

(32,086 posts)I have seen her go after people associated with Trump from time to time, maybe not as much as we all would like, but a hell of a lot more than that sexual harasser she used to work next to. I have seen joint interviews, and she was the one who went after them, while Lauer threw softballs. Who knows? Maybe without him around, she'll develop even more of a spine.

"This has to be the most popular decision NBC News has ever made,"
Guthrie said while celebrating the news on Tuesday's "Today."

(35,320 posts)That seems awfully stereotyping.
Or perhaps the poster is looking at the women for their individual traits.
Having watched neither, I can't opine.
But the gushy start bodes not so great. And "popular", given what that word usually means, counts as the second. Now we just have to wait and see if the motion passes. Not that I'd notice.

Hence, all the objective evidence and data supplied to support the premise rather than simply stating an allegation lacking any corroboration or indication at all...?
As you so accurately summed up, "Not that you'd notice..."
