Unbelievable: New Russian Link to Trump, Direct Money From Russian Government!

By 4CasandChlo at Daily Kos

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/1/2/1729202/-Unbelievable-New-Russian-Link-to-Trump-Direct-Money-to-Russian-Government

"SNIP...........

The Daily Beast continues its vital coverage of all the Russian influence and the Repubs:

The Russian Direct Investment Fund drew renewed interest in recent weeks after news surfaced that unofficial Trump envoy Erik Prince met with RDIF’s CEO, Kirill Dmitriev, days before President Trump’s inauguration. And an individual close to the bank says Dmitriev is focused on removing sanctions on the fund, as it tries to attract investments into Putin’s Russia.

Reporter Katie Zavadski is certainly correct to note that Erik Prince has no “official” ties to Trump, but he couldn’t have more direct ties to Trump even if he did have an “official office” in the government. We’ve heard similar things before, including this from the Intercept link above:

The identity of the Russian individual was not disclosed, but on January 11, a Turkish-owned Bombardier Global 5000 charter plane flew Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, to the Seychelles, flight records obtained by The Intercept show. Dmitriev’s plane was an unscheduled charter flight and flew to the island with two other Russian individuals, both women. The RDIF is a $10 billion sovereign wealth fund created by the Russian government in 2011.

On August 7, Prince told CNN that he was in the Seychelles “on business” in January to meet with Emirati officials and met “some fund manager — I can’t even remember his name.” Prince said the meeting “probably lasted about as long as one beer.”

democratic senators over the head over the Franken debacle, and you know, create NEW reasons for people NOT to vote for Democrats!

Right!

What is done is done, time to move on and support our candidate.

You see the alternative is you will all have a new landlord, this guy

As we as a community get caught up emotionally in the whole Franken affair and today's official resignation, something like this--more damning evidence of Americans dealing and wheeling with Putin and his oligarshs--flies by with little notice.

Think that's a feature, not a bug of the continuous propaganda assault we're experiencing. Not blaming anyone either. We are all susceptible to this sort of thing, our attention deliberately manipulated, redirected to something that's over, done, stick a fork in it.

As to the subject at hand, I read a similar article this morning regarding the Sovereign Wealth Fund, a Russian investor group that put a number of Americans into senior positions as a way of getting around American sanctions and the newly passed Magnitsky bill. These sanctions--the very ones the Trumpster was suppose to repeal--have really put a crimp in how Putin and his thugs launder their ill-gotten gains.

This is the story, along with how the NYT's Moscow division was hacked and dozens of our own journalists were compromised.

This crooked path goes literally everywhere! We need to pay attention.

The GOP is letting him do that, this is war. We need every Democrat we need, as we are fighting not just the KGB and Russia but also the GOP and their idiot followers.

Democrats being heartbroken over the issue should be pretty universal. No reason for it to be a fight over Gillebrand' s actions for a full 3 1/2 weeks. That is a little odd.

I was upset but being obsessed and/or calling Gillibrand and her Dem colleagues frauds is a wee bit over-the-top and not constructive to anything but having us tear at one another. That only serves the Trumpster and his enablers.

As for reigniting the issue? I wouldn't be surprised if wingers, trolls and/or bots are throwing things out there to see what will stick to the ceiling. An emotionally-driven issue is perfect to get people riled up and live it all over again. Doesn't hurt to have it on the day the official resignation comes through. In fact, the timing is perfect.

Meanwhile, important details on the real story are released and overlooked. Without turning totally paranoid, we need to start asking ourselves--where are these memes coming from and what is the purpose? Who benefits? The real irony is that the original Franken story came out of the den of Roger Stone, a notorious dirty trickster, former Nixon fan-boy.

Never a dull moment. And the hits keep coming.

if ALL of this isnt about the black guy, it ALL is.

I am surprised I have to have that debate on this website.

Are people who support racism and anti semitism and treason not bad people?

What exactly kind of person is it who still supports trump, not who voted for him but still, at this point of INSANITY supports him, eh?

Jan 2018

I remember back when bush got us into Iraq & cheney helped the prince gang build his army in Iraq ??
prince set up private military bases in several
secluded places around the country ?? Least wise, what the hell does prince have to do in the grand scheme of things??
Are there any DU'er that can verify this ????
Something is going on with russia ??
Are we setting ducks for a take over ??
Is trump purposely stretching out our military ??

Private firms did security for all the bases even with Ugandan nationals with firearms checking for IDs and check points which was very unusual considering TCNs from other nations were treated like shit and forced to do all the work a common job was cooking 92G only had to do food temp checks, headcount, make sure people wash their hands before entering the DFAC. Plus they were human trafficked in KBR/Halliburton subcontracted out to Saudi and Kuwaiti contractors (who regularly import labor which their economies are built off their backs) to distance themselves from responsibility.

I suspect it is because Uganda is largely a Christian nation which many US evangelist s regularly visit to spread their bullcrap.
