The Official 'Dumped Like A Dog' Horrifyingly Stupid Metaphor Thread ...

So, Steve Bannon was 'Dumped Like a Dog', was he, Dotard?

Yeah, nice metaphor.

After all, everyone out there has 'dumped someone like a dog', right? Lord knows, Americans hate their dogs, and revel in 'dumping them' off somewhere. It's just what we do!

I propose we come up a list of horrifically pained and stupid metaphors along those lines, just to maintain our sanity.

Here, I'll start (imagine it in Colbert/Trump voice):

"Steve Bannon was Kicked to the Curb ... Like a Polar Bear Cub!"
"Steve Bannon was Eviscerated ... Like A Poached African Elephant!"
"Steve Bannon was Drowned ... Like a US Coastal City In About 25 Years!"

Y'all take your best shot ...

The "dog" referred to here, in Trump's mind I believe, is any woman who doesn't measure up to his standards of beauty and grace, a woman whom, if he bed her (or even had to simply interact socially with her), he would drop from his life posthaste.

At least, that's what I believe Trump alludes to here, as would be expected from a man who regularly categorizes and dismisses people with a coldly calculated, arbitrary "rating system."

I hate when sayings are used that have anything to do with cruelty to animals, as if it dumping dogs, beating horses etc is normal and alright to do.

When it was reported last January that the Pences would be moving some of their family pets—which include two cats, a rabbit, and a snake—into the Naval Observatory, Trump ridiculed the menagerie to his secretary, according to a longtime adviser. “He was embarrassed by it; he thought it was so low class,” says the adviser. “He thinks the Pences are yokels.”

He's the first President to not have a pet in the White House for 130 years or more, they say. To him, pets are things that inferior people have but don't care about, because he can't conceive of caring about another human being, let alone a different species.

(and cats), with zero regard to the actual needs of those animals.

Some years back I knew someone who lived not far outside a medium sized city, and they had many, many cats and dogs, all of which had been dumped on or near their property.

People who dump their pets are despicable.

Steve Bannon is despicable, but that's a different conversation.

NORMAL Americans ... love their friggin' dogs.

THAT ... is actually 'what we do'.

I mean, what kind of sick mind, in search of a metaphor for somebody being 'generally shunned' ... comes up with 'dumped ... like a DOG!' ... rather than like literally 1000's of other, far better metaphors?

Someone who is not-so-subtly signalling his disdain for animal-life, and those who like animals.

Or hell, disdain for ANY life ... which is in general not directly associated with making Dump richer, more famous, or feeling better about his tiny wicked self.
