trump confirms below average intelligence and questionable mental stability.

The moment you respond to any disparaging evaluation of your intelligence you confirm it’s probable validity. The simple fact of the matter is that truly “smart” people, as trump claims to be understand that one of the oldest ways to diminish a person in the eyes of almost everyone is to insult their intelligence hoping for a response, any response. By responding you validate the possibility that the person egging you on may have a point. Intelligent individuals NEVER take the bait of insults because, primarily, they are not insecure.

Your defense of your mental health seems even less “smart”. That you have behaved in a manner that causes people to question your mental stability goes to your responses and protests. You may have found your behavior to be effective in your private business dealings, but in the public sphere into which you have engaged, no! You have exposed your insecurities and fragile self image which in turn have made you an easy target for people skilled in taunting simple egos like yours into inappropriate and embarrassing responses. Some of your responses to people of equally fragile egos, also with nuclear weapons, is frightening and dangerous.

Had you ignored the bait and just let your acolytes defend you you would have actually been “smart” and moved beyond all this long ago. Dismissing claims of ignorance and looniness through the simple expedient of paying no attention to them would have disarmed the taunters and they would likely have moved on to some other target or issue.

I suggest you look up the reference “hoist by your own petard”, a phrase attributed to someone you may have heard of, Shakespeare.

And I mean fear about what's happening to him. When my Mom's Dementia/Alzheimer's started taking hold, she became VERY defensive if she thought, for an INSTANT, we were questioning her judgement. I have no doubt that, on some level, she was terrified of what was happening to her.
