Democrats control of the Senate in 2018 is more important than control of the House

I know it is a long shot, and also impeachments originate in the House, but to me, if Democrats manage to control the Senate, they basically can freeze all the right wing judges that Trump is getting through for life time appointments throughout the Federal judiciary.
They can basically assure that should any of the older justices die while in office, Trump will not get to fill the spot , and they can keep it open until after the 2020 Presidential election, just as Mitch did it to Obama.

Democrats should do all they can to take control of the Senate....the survival of the cherished ideals of America depend on it.

It is matter of principle, that seat.
You can't let someone rob you like that and mock you for it without fucking serious payback.

Win the Nevada seat, and then win the Arizona seat, and that's 51. Then you have to hold all blue seats, like Donnelly in Indiana. Luckily, he's pretty well liked up there, despite it being a pretty red state. But it still won't be easy.

It's also hard to tell what's going to happen in Arizona, because no one really knows McCain's status. It's possible his seat will be up for grabs come November, and if that's the case, it might actually help Democrats because voters are more likely to split the ticket for 1 Democrat and 1 Republican.

are in serious danger of early retirement when it comes to House seats. States like Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, are in play where voters are already expressing buyer's remorse for voting for Trump and Republicans.

Democrats have to hold on to all of our Senate seats and pick up seats along the way. Arizona, Maine, and Tennessee look possible.

We can do this. Both Houses will be good to keep Trump in check if he lasts that long.

It could happen, but they have a.) the money, b.) the voter suppression, c.) the gerrymandering (in the case of the House) and d.) a billion dollar media freebie (Fox Noise and National Hate Radio) that we don't. We won't make it with 52-48. We need 55-45 just to claw our way back to even in many states. The good news is that in some states we DO have that. Pennsylvania had (at one point anyway) close to a 60-40 Democratic registered voter advantage, and yet a 65-35 Republican-to-Democrat ratio of house seats due to Republican gerrymandering. North Carolina seems to have even more extreme issues of a similar nature, and those are only two examples. The House and the Governors' seats are goals we stand a chance of winning. The Senate, too, but it will be a real struggle, and they have way more billionaires than we do.

as you can to register now. Missouri is going to be hard to hold and a lot of dark money and secrecy are making it more difficult to find out what they are up to.
