There was absolutely no reason for Trump to be at that game last night. He's deservingly being roasted for it. Waaay past his locked-away time devouring night burgers and screaming at the TV.
He came there, created a traffic mess, prevented people from getting to their HIGH PRICED seats, and then just disappeared. For a (bad) photo op with some ROTC kids?
I'm reminded of W inviting himself to the birthday ceremony for Dr. King in 2004 (W used it as an excuse/cover going to fundraisers in Atlanta and New Orleans). There was a rather sudden protest organized and buses were parked between the TV cameras and the protesters across the street.
Although King Center officials did not invite Bush to join their planned celebration, Mrs. King met briefly with the president.
Shortly before Bush's arrival, a line of city buses parked in front of the center, preventing Bush and the protesters from seeing each other, although the demonstrators' jeers and slogans were not muted.

(42,759 posts)Presidents attend sporting events. Baseball games, basketball games, college and pro. Have for a long time. You may not remember this, but JFK not only attended the Orange Bowl game on January 1, 1963, but he handled the coin toss.
I'm saving my outrage for meaningful stuff. The little stuff is just a distraction.
