1. That would be a great start if she would like to pursue a political career.

She can run for president later, with some experience under her belt.

MAXINE

...but I don't think Oprah wants to be a Senator. She has Too much to do already. I do think she will come to the aide of her country if we don't have a candidate who can beat the Repubs. Remember, Dump will have 4 years experience by then.

Henry Hyde's old district currently held by Roskam. He won by 20 points in 2016 so a tough nut to crack.

Voted to repeal ACA.
Voted for tax bill

He was also on the Benghazi Committee.

Maybe Illinois 14th Hultgren. Also won by 20 points.

I found that she still owns a house in a suburb called Elmwood Park, but that's in a Democratic district. The city of Chicago and inner suburbs don't have any Republican districts. Nor can I see her living in Elmwood Park, so I'd say that's an investment property of some kind. She's sold the multi-unit condo in Water Tower Place, but that's also a Democratic district.

She also still owns the farm in Indiana.

her 42 acre (170,000 m²) ocean and mountain view estate in Montecito, California, outside of Santa Barbara. Winfrey also owns a house in Lavallette, New Jersey, an apartment in Chicago, an estate on Fisher Island off the coast of Miami, a ski house in Telluride, Colorado, and property on the island of Maui, Hawaii. Winfrey's show is based in Chicago, so she spends time there, specifically in the neighborhood of Streeterville, but otherwise resides in California. Her Hawaii property was featured on the cover of O at Home and on her TV show.

The farm in Indiana has to have a Republican Congressman.

Lavallette, New Jersey is represented by Republican Tom MacArthur.

Miami is represented by Republican Mario Diaz-Balart

Telluride is represented by Republican Scott Tipton

there to stump or writing a couple of checks.

On another note I was shocked how old Stedman seemed at the Golden Globes especially when compared with the energy Oprah radiated just sitting in her seat.

I didn't watch the program, so I can't comment on your second point. Personally, I hate awards programs.
