Steele went to FBI-NOT-Because He Thought Trump Was Conspiring w-Russia - But To PROTECT Him

@HoarseWisperer
Consider this a preview of a thread to come later...

Christopher Steele, author of the dossier, went to the FBI after the very first of his memos not because he thought Trump was conspiring with Russia...

...but because he was worried Trump was being blackmailed.

Steele went to the FBI bc he was concerned Trump was being blackmailed, according to Simpson transcript https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/_cache/files/3/9/3974a291-ddbe-4525-9ed1-22bab43c05ae/934A3562824CACA7BB4D915E97709D2F.simpson-transcript-redacted.pdf

is the worst black mark.

Especially if you try to act like you don't know what they're asking about.

Pot smoking, maybe some minor/juvenile incidents, friendships with people with foreign names - these are all part of our lives. Denying them when the facts are in front of the investigators shows that you aren't trustworthy to this country.

Shit, having done some really pretty nasty things and owning up to them (and maybe being even proud) might get you a better position.

Most of the venal crew around dump will lie at the drop of a hat. They'll even lie if telling the truth is easier and without negatives. Once their brains get on the cycle of lying at every point, it's very hard to rewire.

OK, Mom. I did pull the kitty's tail!

trump being blackmailed or trump being bribed. Either way, he is a traitor.

I hope Grassley's blood pressure is 290/130 now. His corruption and collusion are being laid bare.

In a statement, the spokesman, Taylor Foy, said that Feinstein’s decision to release the transcript without first consulting Grassley compromises the Judiciary Committee’s ability to conduct its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

“Her action undermines the integrity of the committee’s oversight work and jeopardizes its ability to secure candid voluntary testimony relating to the independent recollections of future witnesses,” Foy said.

He noted that no other congressional panel had released transcripts of private interviews related to the Russia investigations, and suggested that Feinstein’s decision may discourage potential witnesses from testifying before the Judiciary Committee.

Feinstein, the Judiciary Committee’s top Democrat, posted the 300-page transcript of the committee’s interview with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, breaking with Grassley, who had opposed the release of the transcript.

Fusion GPS had demanded that the transcript be released.

The private research firm commissioned the 2016 dossier, which includes salacious and unverified allegations about President Trump. The document was compiled by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence official, who was hired by Fusion GPS.

Grassley and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) have referred Steele to the Justice Department for criminal investigation.

That's at the beginning of the transcript. I have not read all of it. It's long.

I think it just means that he concluded based on whatever information he had that drumpf might be being blackmailed and that the FBI deserved to know that a major candidate might be compromised.

and the criminal hacking concerns. They discussed this together, before Steele went to FBI, so the whole enchilada of several criminal matters was involved.
