Conservatives Outraged Over Obama Releasing Photo of Private Visit with Aurora Victims

President Obama Flies Over Colorado Speaks at Hospital without Prepared Text, Visits Victims and Families

Conservatives are in a rage this morning that the White House released a photo of President Obama visiting with heroine Stephanie Davies and shooting victim Allie Young at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Although the media was barred from the visit, this morning the White House released one photo, in order to inspire Americans. After all, 21-year-old Stephanie saved her friend Allie’s life. A grieving nation needs to hear about brave acts like Stephanie’s; it reminds us of what is best in us as we struggle to make sense with the monsters among us.

Naturally, this means the President is being “tacky” and politicizing a tragedy, also known as actually showing up (instead of peering out of the window of Air Force One like conservatives favored leader, President Bush).

The President spoke at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado last night, after visiting victims and their families without media. Watch here:

Just a littl etacky to release a picture….can he do anything without a political side to it! PHONY!!!!

It’s clearly a photo op for the president and it’s tacky to release this photo literally days after the tragedy. Have some class, do it later.

astal
Extra Tacky.
Not a much higher setting of the bar for Obama.

• TateAshton
Obama seems to show up around a lot of tragedies. More so than any President in my lifetime. It all started with His Royal Highness having a beer with a couple of guys in Boston.
Yes, tacky tacky tacky.

the complaining repubs as un-American. I would also believe that the surviving victims need to know the nation has learned of the President's visit to hear their story and for him to give them their countrymen's support. This is clumsily worded but you ca get the gist.

and looking like he'd rather eat whatever was on one of those reality shows where you eat a calf's eyeball or something ...

but that wasn't a "photo-op", right? And that giant plastic turkey wasn't a photo-op, either, right?

Or all those pictures in front of the military ordered to be there, right?

How about that jogging bit with the personnel who had his legs amputated? Or the one "saluting" the military person in the hospital ...

Damn f*cking cheesy of them to call this only a "photo-op" ...

Of course, if he hadn't released a photo, they'd be saying he didn't care, and that there was no proof of him ever being there.

Dumbass visited wounded vet for a photo op, soldier has injury to shoulder and fuckwit holds the salute like it is a contest. The colossal asshole apparently didn't have the situational awareness to know he was supposed to break the salute, kept the soldier in pain...

If I recall correctly, those folks in the photo that Dubya is consoling were later learned to be plants by the Bush advance team. They were instructed to play-act like they were Katrina victims (they weren't) and like they were so pleased to see him (only because they were getting paid to).

As their level of outrage rises, it goes into a feedback loop that feeds more and more outrage until they spontaneously burst into searing flame and disintegrate into ashes and vapor.

If you look at the article on the link the words 'Flies Over Colorado' are CROSSED OUT.

While they lauded every single time Bush showed up in any sort of tragedy which earned him the moniker of Photo-Op President.

I could care less what they think in this matter.
