in solidarity with Haitians and Haitian Americans.
Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy (D) flew the Haitian flag at the governor's residence on Friday, one day after President Trump reportedly referred to Haiti and other African nations as "shithole countries."
Friday is also the eight-year anniversary of a deadly earthquake in the country.
"The US is a nation of immigrants who originate from countries throughout the world. We should celebrate this diversity, not denigrate and shame it," Malloy said in a tweet.

Our governor in MA came out in support of the Haitian community as well (as one of the few decent republicans in existence) but it still isn't enough. I want to see more condemnation of Trump and his vile racism.
