Foreign outlets struggle to translate “shithole” for their readers. This Croatian paper used “vukojebina,” meaning “the place wolves like to fuck.” No joke.

I know that Japanese doesn't have taboo words the way English does.
Words can be insulting but only in context.
They don't have the equivalent of shithole.
