by Josh Feldman | 10:53 pm, January 12th, 2018
Former President Barack Obama spoke with David Letterman about how fragmented the media is these days, and he invoked Fox News to make his point. Obama was the first guest on Lettermans new Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, in which he discussed a lot about his post-presidency and his dad moves.
You may have heard about his Fox News comments today from Fox News itself, wherein Obama either ripped or slammed the network. (And goodness knows Fox News wouldnt stand for a leader criticizing a network he doesnt like.) Heres what he said, during a discussion with Letterman about the media and tribalism:
What the Russians exploitedbut it was already hereis we are operating in completely different universes. If you watch Fox News, you are living on a different planet than you are if you, you know, listen to NPR.
The episode is available to stream on Netflix.

(1,990 posts)The floor will be stuck at ~35%. I have watched Fox periodically throughout the year to see what they say. It is mainly right wing spin and opinion with a little news scattered in. They do not cover the scandalous and damning facts about Trump and other Republicans until they have to. NPR at least makes an attempt to show both sides. I hate the air time that NPR gives to rightwing nut jobs and I am not a fan when I hear that a Koch business has sponsored the Market Place Morning Report, but almost all that I learn from NPR is fact not opinion. I am convinced that 35% aren't open to change and love the flashy glitz, hot blondes, American flag graphics and rightwing spin of FOX. At least 65% aren't brainwashed yet.

I flip to fox occasionally, and that Hannity is such a repellent spewing propagandist. It is immoral to earn your living propagating mass manipulation in this manner. Lies and deliberate misinformation should be relegated to the fringes of our society. Hannity is among those traitors, like Cheney and GWB, that should be shunned by polite society.
Why doesn't Trump just dive in a pool of boiling oil and end his miserable life painfully, as the solitary redeemable act of his entire predatory weasel life.
