He gave an excuse for some elements to not only recruit new anti American elements, he provided fodder for attacks on Americans of all services. From state department employees to military to visitors.

When you call a country a “shithole” you are defaming and insulting the populace in a way that inspires angry reaction, unnecessarily so. The next deaths in one of these so called “shitholes” is totally on trump. Attacks that may have been prevented will now possibly go forward. People will suffer because of trump’s words.

Words matter. They can provide peace or war, hate or love, bring people close or set them apart. trump may have undone ages of good will and brought danger and death where it needn’t be.
