For those who say, "A lot of people agree with the President about the "shithole" countries...

A lot of people agreed with those that burned witches in our country's early days.

A lot of people agreed with the Ku Klux Klan.

But that doesn't make it right.

We have to decide what is right and what is wrong with a premise before we can argue with it.

It is wrong to call other people "shithole" countries. How does that help anyone? Even one person, other than Donald Trump? It helps in his process of division.

It's a problem of character. Either you have it or you don't.

Some people don't .

It was nothing but racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia. Instead of feeling shame about being a rotten human being with archaic and ignorant notions, he wore his willful ignorance like a badge of honor. I don't even respond to this kind of garbage, as fools like this guy aren't going to be swayed from their comfy cocoons of misdirected hate by a "triggered libtard snowflake" like me.

because it has the capacity to develop it's better side like no other country. We may take giant steps backwards, but then, as MLK said, "The Arc of the Moral Universe Is Long, But It Bends Toward Justice". That is what this country does no matter what the setbacks are.

Having the good fortune of living in a country where most families (though not all) have no unmet needs as far as housing, public services, etc. at the very least obliges us to refrain from ridiculing countries where many or even most citizens don't have that privilege.

Most of our fellow Americans understand that - certainly everyone here on DU. It's a embarrassment, and above all a shame, that our so-called president doesn't.

the degenerate human some call president, but their willful ignorance still continues to amaze me. They seemed cocooned by a selfishness only exceeded by the belief that the one letter changing skin pigment in the billions that comprise the human genome somehow makes them superior. Once I tried that approach and it failed miserably. My dad, who was a rancher, use to say you can only bend a sapling. GOTV.

Its a trick, a ruse, a hoax, and they should be laughed out of the building. We're supposed to believe that whatever lies the Republicans are trying to sell must be OK because they say (wink-wink) that some mysterious and unknown "other people" also agree with Trump's bullshit, therefore, we are wrong. Thank you and goodnight!

We know right from wrong, and we know the stench of Republicans promoting their hate, racism, the bigotry and misogyny. Don't believe anything Republicans say, if they're talking, they're lying.
