Pence silent in wake of 'shithole' remark
The vice president's office has ignored several requests for comment about Trump's vulgarity.

Trumps recent move toward denying aspects of the remarks have put Pence in only a more difficult position, since weighing in would require accepting or denying the presidents version of events.
Instead, on Friday afternoon, Pence was tweeting pictures of himself and Trump with Martin Luther King Jr.s nephew at a White House ceremony and hailing Kings efforts to peacefully advocate for justice & equality for African-Americans.
Pence is one of Trumps most strident defenders, often accusing the media of misrepresenting the presidents comments and putting as positive a spin on them as he can, no matter how outlandish.
Pence has repeatedly lauded Trumps attitude toward North Korea, for example, even as Trump has derided North Koreas leader, Kim Jong Un, as Little Rocket Man and bragged that his nuclear button is bigger than Kims.
Only in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape leaked during the campaign, on which Trump bragged about groping women, did Pence issue a type of rebuke.

(15,805 posts)Trump is a crass, ignorant, greedy, narcissistic, racist, lying, overgrown pubescent child, utterly devoid of any understanding of how our government works. He could bumble the country into a nuclear holocaust and the only thing he'd care about is how to profit off of the mess. He is undeniably horrible.
Pence is all that, with the exception that he does understand how our government works. That makes him considerably more dangerous than Trump. Given his propensity for casting himself as a paragon of his faith, he could very easily surpass Trump in destroying the country -- and it would be deliberate as he would claim to be acting at God's direction. Pence is, unfortunately, capable. Trump is horrible, Pence is downright evil.
If Trump goes, Pence MUST go with him.
