Top Republican who led Benghazi panel used $150,000 of taxpayer money to settle claim with a fired s

The real reason why Howdy Gowdy is being forced off of the ethics panel is that Howdy Gowdy has no ethics and abuses his staffers http://www.businessinsider.com/trey-gowdy-benghazi-panel-settlement-taxpayer-money-benghazi-hillary-clinton-2017-12

Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina reportedly settled a veteran discrimination and retaliation claim from a former aide for $150,000 in taxpayer funds, according to a Washington Post report published Friday.

The confidential settlement was identified in an Office of Compliance report released on Friday. The Post said it was able to link a mention about the settlements contained in the documents to the claims made by Bradley Podliska, the former staffer, identified by The Post.

Podliska, who was fired in 2015 from the House Benghazi committee investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, alleged that he was wrongfully terminated in part for his unwillingness to engage in what he believed was a partisan investigation into Hillary Clinton's time as US secretary of state. Podliska alleged that the high-profile investigation focused its attention on Clinton and the State Department after discovering she had used a private email server to conduct government business.

As part of his veteran-discrimination claim, Podliska, an Air Force Reserves officer, alleged that he was discriminated against when he took leave for his service-related obligations.

The GOP doesn't care how much taxpayer money they waste, as long as they get theirs.

isn't a volunteer operation, after all, and neither are any of the many fronts and support organizations for the Koch alliance. And those are only some of the investments that came to fruition in 2016. Both of those, though, have been working toward this goal in various ways for decades.

...Yes, I used all caps, and yes I meant it. I believe Russian/Putin*/oligarch cash is being funneled into the larger uber-secret Rethuglican Superpacs. And I further believe this is why the GOP is freakin' and geekin' about Mueller's investigation: it isn't so much about tRump* anymore --yes, I believe he is guilty as charged, and probably much more so-- but about Congressional Rethugs taking ILLEGAL money from Russia to run their campaigns.

I would buy off other branches of government as well.
And the media, including print and TV. I'd for sure buy a couple of talking head pundits.
And also some federal law enforcement officials, and some judges.

Putin is worth $600 Billion, he has enough money to bribe, threaten or blackmail a lot of people.

Of course I am not an evil genius billionaire, what do I know.

Was Gowdy the one that was in such a hurry to get out bad stuff on HRC, that he(they) released info/data that disclosed CIA contacts in the Bengasi (sp) area?

I liked the comment about HRC got him in the end. But he's still in congress.

Here’s a headline to warm your heart —

Yeah, “workload.” Isn’t that cute? He could have said, “Needed more time for my hair.” I would believe that.

So, here’s the fun rumor: It is said that Gowdy, exactly like Blake Farenthold, has made taxpayers pay hush money over his indiscretions with various young ladies. Except with Gowdy, it’s more money – $150,000. I think that’s because he’s even more disgusting than Farenthold.

If that is true, I think resigning from the House Ethics Committee won’t pay the piper. He needs to resign congress. Today. Today would be a good day.
