Is that what the Republicans are going to do: let the democrats impeach

Trump after they win the 2018 mid-terms so Trump's base doesn't blame the GOP? So the GOP wants to lose or at least has use for losing.

as well. We mIght win back the Senate in 2018 - but not by a. 2/3's margin. So the Repugs would have to participate. If the Dems vote for impeachment and fail to impeach Trump - what do you think his Tweets will look like then?

He'll say he beat impeachment and have a lot to crow at.

the Point? Impeachment without a conviction in the Senate is a stunt and will be punished by the voters. There will be a backlash which could lead to another GOP president in 20. Impeachment is not worth it without a Senate conviction. Better to just vote the SOB's out.
