It sounds like 7th grade lunch. I seriously think the directors scripted these morons to be more or less reasonable. The older man is more even-handed. They are running tape of other commentators calling 45 a racist. I guess that's something. They're moving on to "trump vs media."
I might have to resort to earplugs.

My personal observation is that Faux Noise on the TV is a sign of a dishonest shop.

(34,136 posts)It is not on at the cardio rehab facility I am going to. They have AMC though so the other day when I asked them to change off of Fox we found "The Princess Bride" and I got to watch most of the first half while I exercised.
Why would they have any politics playing on tv, much less fox or any news at a cardio rehab facility? Do they not get the stress factor? Politcs can be one persons pleasure but anothers poison (health wise).

(34,136 posts)I did my workouts at the end with King Kong playing, though my heart rate went up during the scenes with the dinosaurs stampeding down the gully and where Kong was fighting the T-Rexes to save the woman.
A better channel than HGTV is The Food Channel. Once when Mom was in the Emergency Room (lots of stress, right after my sister's funeral) Dad was impressed that they had the Food Channel on in the waiting room. It calmed him down and helped him handle his worry about Mom.

(34,136 posts)Hand't eaten or drunk anything since 8 o'clock the night before. Had to show up at the hospital at 8:30 AM but they were running late. I didn't get taken to my room until after 10 AM. Food Channel running for all that time while I was hungry and thirsty.
I made a comment about it - the next time they were running the local CBS channel with morning game shows. That was worse! At least that time they called me in quickly.

At my auto dealership, I usually change it to MSNBC. One recent time when I was there, the woman I usually deal with in the service department walked in to talk to me just as Mike Pence came on. I've never discussed politics at the auto dealership, but as soon as this woman noticed Pence she exclaimed "I hate him!" I know now why I always liked her.

(70,510 posts)Ask to speak to the shop owner and or manger when you leave and
tell them just how offensive you find Fox. If he asks of an example
tell him to google Bill O'reilly and Dr. Tiller and what happened when
somebody really didn't understand that Fox was lying to him.

(9,070 posts)this only works when the opportunity arises, but it's so fun.
When I'm in a waiting room, hotel room, etc and no one's looking, I take the remote and put the Faux news on "child censor" lockout.
Most of the time, people don't think about it, and the stupid channel won't show up no matter what they do.
Of course, it's not always possible, but I look for a Menu button and there's often a Parent Control option...sometimes you can put in a password like "GoHillary" or "BlueState". I always wonder how many times someone calls the cable provider with "We can't seem to get Fox" or "We can't figure out the password".
I figure I've been subjected to hours of unwanted propaganda, so I don't mind depriving the mindless morons from their fix.

(420 posts)As soon as I walk into a place that has it on my blood pressure shoots up. My doctor's office used to have it on until I very politely said I really didn't think that aggressive political talk was good for people with health issues. I had to take my mom to a specialist and there was a long wait and they had FAUX on. I asked the receptionist if she could change the channel and she whispered that the doctor required it to be on unless a patient really wanted it changed. She said she hated it too and was glad to change it for me but I knew it would be back on as soon as we were taken into an exam room. The guy was a real tool. I swear he was coked out he was so hyper. When we left later, he was on his phone in the hallway and hysterically pacing back and forth and talking so fast. We never went back.
We travel a lot by car and most McDonald's we stop at have that trash on. I make it a point of asking if they always have it on and register my disappointment. We either leave or if I haven't noticed it before we ordered and paid, I tell them we will never be back because of it. (they don't know we don't live there)
That is what scares me so much is the way the right wingers are so aggressive of pushing their message. Unfortunately, so many people who don't know better take it as news and are recruited into the cult.
