(4,341 posts)Maybe not use the words you used, because of political correctness, but same inference. And that is what I said before I read your post, democrats need to hit back.

(16,963 posts)Using one word or the other DOESN"T change what he meant, or the damage. again, to our country. It way ok with me if this over-the-hill loser quits.

(4,341 posts)Don't let Cotton off the hook, its time for Democrats to fire back, most republicans confuse decency with weakness.
To republican politicians politics is always a boxing match, they like to throw punches, democrats need to throw punches back.

(30,741 posts)Keeping DACA protections.
Never mind what 45 says. Look at what he and his repiggie congress do and make sure that do as little damage as possible. Focus on actions, not words.

(15,286 posts)But we need to sear into the nation's collective memory what the 'uglican's and their slime leader have said in addition to what they have done.
Politics should be where there is debate, agreement and disagreement, maybe heated conversations. But it should not be the place where one party and it's titular head can insult and inflame. That should be dispensed with after the 3rd grade.

(30,741 posts)Words can hurt and create a lot of ugliness. But 45 and his repiggie congress hide behind words and use them to distract us from their evil deeds. We have to be careful not to allow them to keep us off balance.

from LATimes:
I know what happened. I stand behind every word that I said in terms of that meeting, Durbin said on Monday about the presidents remarks at a White House meeting last week on immigration.
Durbin also dismissed reports attributed to unnamed White House aides that Trump said shithouse rather than shithole. He told reporters in Illinois, I am stunned that this is their defense.
Speaking to reporters in Illinois, Durbin insisted he was correct. He added, I dont know that changing the word from hole to house changes the impact which this has. This speaks toward America and its view toward immigration and is a message inconsistent with the values of this country.
Durbin said the White House should release any recording of the conversation that might exist.
