but what is that supposed to be an image of on the logo/avatar? Is it an elephant? It isn't very clear (or good).

It’s a perversion of the GOP logo. In this case, the elephant is sucking his penis with his trunk. Sorry.

As a former illustrator that logo design "sucks". Given your explanation I suppose that is appropriate though. Thanks!
