Where the hell is the USA Today/Gallup poll?

Yesterday, USA Today ran this headline:

Poll: Romney preferred over Obama to handle the economy
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2012-07-23/poll-romney-obama-economy/56439758/1

The article starts off:

WASHINGTON – Despite concerted Democratic attacks on his business record, Republican challenger Mitt Romney scores a significant advantage over President Obama when it comes to managing the economy, reducing the federal budget deficit and creating jobs, a national USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds.

One would expect the next sentence to justify that claim, but here is what comes next:

By more than 2-1, 63%-29%, those surveyed say Romney's background in business, including his tenure at the private equity firm Bain Capital, would cause him to make good decisions, not bad ones, in dealing with the nation's economic problems over the next four years.

Not only is that a push-poll question, but it also has nothing to do with contrasting Obama and Romney.

The rest of the article doesn't provide any details about Romney's numbers on the deficit or creating jobs. It's as if the entire piece was created to push that misleading headline and the claim that the Bain attacks aren't working. A number of reports picked up USA Today's lead with headlines suggesting that Romney has a 2-to-1 edge over Obama on the economy.

Here's the chart added to the USA Today piece:

Where the hell is the USA Today/Gallup poll data? They need to release the full poll

Looking at Ohio polling, it appears exposing Romney's record on Bain is working.

Gallup is always an outlier and GOP push-pollster during campaigns.

Now, it is a propaganda tool. It is an exhortation to "join the herd". Even Republicans no longer believe in polling.
