That is the standard, "I have no evidence to support my claim, but I want to make it seem like there is support" bullshit line. McCain and the personalities on Fox use that line all of the time. "Some say President Obama was born in Kenya"

It's from a meeting in 2013 in which Boehner said "I can't stand to look at you" to Obama. The White House denied it (the RW just loves and trusts the Obama WH remember?) as did Boehner's office. One incident and truthfully it could very well be the Obama WH acting with some class and being diplomatic.
