GOP lawmaker pulls gun out in road rage incident!

http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2012/jul/22/legislator-pulled-gun-during-road-incident/

A Spokane Valley legislator pulled a gun during a confrontation with another motorist last November in what police reports describe as a road rage incident. He was cited for two violations of state firearms law.

Republican Matt Shea, a state representative seeking a third term this fall, had a handgun in his pickup truck and had let his concealed weapons permit expire, a violation of state law, when he was contacted by Spokane police investigating reports of erratic driving and one driver threatening another with a handgun.

Shea eventually was charged with a single firearm count – having a loaded handgun in a vehicle without a concealed weapons permit – which will be dismissed next January if he has no further criminal violations before then, according to documents from the Spokane Municipal Court that were sent to The Spokesman-Review by someone with no apparent connection to his opponent’s campaign.

Shea declined to comment, referring all inquiries to his attorney, Bob Cossey.

for having a loaded firearm without permit. Little guy goes to prison. Official gets charges dropped. Nope, no class warfare going on at all.

4. I had a guy fill in for me driving my blood center bus have a road rage incident.

Evidently he was unhappy about getting stuck behind a slow driver. He got right in his bumper, honked and hit the bright lights to intimidate him. The crew riding with him told me about it when I got back from vacation. I told them they might have to answer some questions about it because I had to turn him in to our supervisor for that.

I'm the only one driving a bus for us in my area, he comes from our HQ 100 miles away. I can't have that going on. Who knows, the guy might decide to make a complaint and those calls get put through right to the big boss! Then the same week, the same guy brings the bus down a steep grade, riding the brakes all the way! He had to have been laying a smoke screen behind him. I go out the next morning and can still smell burning brakes worse than I have ever had coming down the same hill. That's something any experienced driver should know to never let happen. He could have lost his brakes and killed someone or blown a tire. His new Dela Tau Chi name is "Fireball"! He probably likes it and thinks we are impressed by him being a hard charging guy. We're really making fun of him almost setting the bus on fire!

We paid for 'em, we write 'em, we break 'em routinely it seems. Big whoop.

Laws are meaningless when you're from the Good Ole Boys Club.

6. Not surprised, if guns are fired as part of defense more than 2 million times a year

as I've learned on DU in the past few days, it's likely that they are pulled out and not fired somewhat more often.

So I am not at all surprised by this report. And I don't think it necessarily says anything about all republicans.

Whatever else might be said about it's rightness or wrongness of pulling a gun, an understanding that a gun is a tool of intimidation in civilian conflict resolution isn't something we are born with.

It's something that is acquired.

We either somehow learn that guns are such tools directly, or we come to that conclusion based on perceived supporting evidence from our experiences.

10. If I was the other driver, I would feel my life was in danger. And being faced with the possibility

of death or injury, I would be forced to shoot him. At this point it could becomes very interesting. Would the NRA be OK with the shooting if one of their own was killed by a liberal with a registered gun and CCP? Would be a very interesting conundrum for the NRA and the GOPTP. Just saying...................

BTW anyone want to buy a bridge I'm selling? Its going for a bargain price and has a great view of San Francisco Bay.
True its a bit old seeing as it was built in 1937 but its well maintained and is located in an area that gets a good amount of traffic which would be great if your looking at putting in a hotel or restaurant.
