Trump to Schumer: "What's it gonna take to get you into this deal today, Chuck?"

That's what a bona fide POS Used Car Salesman does. Trump is a real POSUCS. That phrase, which was misused here on DU to describe Barack Obama, should have been saved for Donald Trump.

More's the pity that it wasn't.

during rush hour a week after you drive off the lot. I hope Schumer is a good, smart auto consumer.

You would be forgiven if you've gotten the impression that Trump thinks that if Congress doesn't get into his deal, he'll just go down the road to another Congress.

The problem, of course, is that there isn't another Congress or contractor or sucker down the road. Trump has to make a deal with this Congress, and that's going to require that the Republicans actually invite the Democrats to the table and negotiate a palatable deal. Republicans, knowing their base voters, would sooner gargle Drano than get caught negotiating with Democrats.

But I remember it and I remember how appalling that post was....sadly, we’re actually living that nightmare now. Trump is truly the used car salesman, trying to close a mythical last second deal, so he can go on Twitter and crow about his deal and his skill. Well, fuck him, and I’ll refrain from comment on the poster who suggested that President Obama was a POTUCS....that’s long gone water under the bridge I suppose, and my comment won’t be seen by him anyway, but it does seem like he’s making a nice living blogging as a “progressive” now.

I truly believe that we have Donald Trump in the White House due to the kind of irrational thinking that led to that incident. When I think about the fact that the post was not hidden, I realize fully what was happening on DU at that time.

Nothing like that would stand here now. That is a good thing, but Donald Trump is still in the White House, thanks to people like that.

And there it is.

That has made DU a more rational place to discuss politics, I think.
