If this is part of the "Russian" plan, then it is working to perfection.

Think of the damage done already. The division. The attacks on our institutions. The attacks on our Justice system. The criminality of it all.

If this is a continuing part of what has already been done, then the Russians are succeeding greatly.

If our government shuts down, then what next?

The Legislature must be an independent branch, even moreso than when our Founders wrote it. We cannot gamble with a government shutdown at this time. McConnell and Schumer must reach an agreement. It is a matter of national security, in my opinion.

It is also the long term doing of evil Americans.
Since Nixon, in its present form.
And we are ripe for it.

I think you have as good an opinion on that as I might. Given that, I would say.. we can still save ourselves..

I have a number of good Russian friends, all very, very well educated and well-traveled -including 2-3 ex-pats. One in particular in St Petersburg is very up on world affairs and particularly American affairs.

We discuss stuff frequently. He knows more than probably 90% (well some high percentage) of Americans.
We always learn things from each other, because after all, he is Russian and I am American. No way can I SEE the detail of Russian politics as well as he can, and a versa.

He can see American hypocrisy and faults the way many Americans, including me sometimes, do not. And I can provide him with a similar view or Russia. But I WILL say, he knows a thousand times more about American politics than I do about Russian politics.

And to some extent, it has.

Is Trump’s Chaos Tornado a Move From the Kremlin’s Playbook?
It’s terrifying to think that the Trump administration is simply winging it, in a swirl of lies, contradictions, and Twitter rants. A scarier possibility is that there is, in fact, a plan, taken straight from Putin 101.

Natan Dubovitsky, as many Russians know, is the literary pseudonym of Vladislav Surkov, Putin’s longtime political technologist and a chief architect of the Kremlin propaganda machine. Just days after “Without Sky” was published, Russia carried out a masterstroke of the “non-linear war” described in the story—the annexation of Crimea.

TRUMP’S TEAM IS FINDING WAYS TO APPROXIMATE PUTIN’S CAPACITY TO CREATE AN ALTERNATIVE REALITY.
What if all the Trumpian chaos that the “mainstream media” have come to take for granted as pugilism and vanity was part of a more cunning plan? What if Trump and chief strategist Steve Bannon were actually drawing from a sophisticated postmodern propaganda model developed by none other than Vladimir Putin, Vladislav Surkov, and their political technologists at the Kremlin? While Trump may not have state-controlled media at his disposal [*AUTHOR FAILS TO MENTION FOX NEWS], as Putin does, to serve as 24-7 propaganda organs both domestically and abroad, his team is finding ways to shrewdly approximate Putin’s capacity to shape narratives and create alternative realities.

This is definitely part of the Russian plan.
Calexit is also a Russian invention. Why the hell would the California democratic voters want Calexit? Without the California electoral votes, we can kiss the next POTUS election good bye...the Russian plan...and our Cali colleagues fell for it.
