just an observation of watching the Senate, it is so white
I imagine (hope so) within the next 20 years we will see more people of color in that chamber

also women do not hold the magic bullet to governance after all look at some of the GOP women Sarah Sanders, Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, just name a few

(3,166 posts)better to have woman ( regardless if all the women are white or not) point of view, who are most likely married to wealthy white males, influence the country than men of color not a combination of women and all people of color?
Are you saying people of color don't have a "whole different point of view" that is much needed? at least not much as women
