(53,410 posts)at the sight of those photos and start to get a bit nervous about their political future.
His cavalier dismissal of these marches shows me he doesn't care about any political future. I don't know whether to be glad about that or to be very afraid about it. But the fact is that my fear of how badly he can hurt this country is growing.

(51,129 posts)I wonder how much cash is being paid to control/bribe the media, as it likely was during the campaign. Corporate control doesn't seem to be an adequate explanation of the horrible bias. Or, is the general public that brainwashed?

(53,410 posts)It just happens to be what most people watch. The smaller media and newspapers basically just repeat what the corporate media says. Unfortunately independent media has a very small following.
I noticed that at least this time both CNN and MSNBC had the marches on screen on the peripheries while they did their regular programming. They didn't even do that during the rush to war after 9/11. On the contrary they really stepped up the excitement and the drumbeat to go to war for months! It was quite chilling to watch especially because I went to every single anti war March in San Francisco. There was even a huge one before they went to war with Afghanistan which is now the longest war this country has been in. And there is no ending sight. It might continue as long as our stand off with North Korea has.

(4,906 posts)This collage uses last year's photo's - at least for Austin. May be designed to go viral and discredit yesterday's march.

(28,795 posts)I work at a grade school
My favorite sight is to see kids like this skipping down the halls
I had a conversation with one last week about when the skipping stopped
We agreed it was usually third grade

(53,410 posts)Those little kids look so supremely confident. The girls will never have to overcome a lifetime of being told they're second class citizens. The look on the little girl's face with the sign saying her generation will tear down the wall got me right in the heart!
Thank you!
