Stephanopoulos Grills Sarah Sanders Over Shutdown: ‘Do You Really Want to’ Question Schumer’s Knowledge?

George Stephanopoulos grilled White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders over the derailed immigration talks that led to the ongoing government shutdown on Monday morning.

Stephanopoulos first noted on Good Morning America that even Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell don’t know what President Donald Trump wants in terms of an immigration deal.

“Then I think maybe sometimes they’re not paying attention,” Sanders said, before explaining the president’s priorities on immigration. “I don’t know what’s confusing about that,” Sanders said. “I know that sometimes members like Senator Schumer need a little help and guidance getting through big policy negotiations like that.”

“Do you really want to be questioning Senator Schumer’s knowledge of this legislation?” Stephanopoulos asked.

"He wants to make it like this is the president's fault and that the president hasn't been anything but clear.." ?????? that negative after the word "president" shows an unfortunate lapse in logic halfway through the sentence. She tends to forget that GRAMMAR IS LOGIC.

I would think that she sounded very reasonable. Sometimes it helps to take off those filtered glasses. In no way did he "grill" her.
She stayed on message.
