(14,174 posts)of Caucasian persuasion are with her this time and vote against the pussy grabber in chief.
Still one of the most troubling statistics from the last election.

(10,185 posts)Do we really know what Putin and his minions really did to rig the last presidential election?
All those assurances from corporate media and Trump world that Putin trolls and hackers did NOT affect the election results and voter counts, yet they never published any investigation and really don't know.

(3,515 posts)The investigation is enormous.
Much of it involves following money. What will come out of it is not yet certain.

But an investigation that gets that large is not for nothing.

But I think it was 53% of all women
And it was 57% of white women.

I agree with Hillary's take. Many women married to Republican voters will simply vote the way their husbands do. My mom was the same way married to a Conservative voter no matter how much I tried to reason with her.

(2,062 posts)ok so I was low, which means even more then less..... I saw 43% somewhere, but if you say 53% then thats worse.... I prefer 0% but thats not going to happen.

(36,865 posts)I have hope, though. The younger generation is where we need to focus our GOTV efforts, as they are more likely to vote for Dems/liberal and progressive causes (yes, yes we know that they need to actually vote... but let's take a page from politicians who inspire them, like Maxine Waters, and provide an environment that uplifts them and values their vote and their voices).

(14,174 posts)There has to be a more comprehensive strategy to get the youth vote out. It doesn't help with Republicans voter suppression causing long lines. And some states banning student cards as ID for voting.
Either there has to be something that really personally affects them and makes them very angry, (like the Vietnam draft) or there is something visible on the table for them. I think Bernie had the right idea with free college tuition.

(4,492 posts)But I'm bothered by the 'abolish amendment 19' in the background. Did the alt-right dudebros crash the march?
Farmer-Rick
(10,185 posts)Now, I wonder who would want to do away with the amendment that gave women the vote?
