Are they socialist? They had a great video montaged of all of the National and International Women's Marches 1/20/18. Have not heard of them before. https://www.facebook.com/WorkingFamilies/videos/10155756952061418/

(43,049 posts)the Green Party should be. Not quite socialist that I know of, but very left.
They often run our Dem candidates on their line, but they are very picky about just who. Several pages of positions-- environmental, social justice, criminal justice, etc.-- have to be answered correctly to get their nomination.

(338 posts)At least that's the flavor of the Wisconsin Working Families Party, which is led by reputable and experienced politicians and activists, all progressives, including a former member of the Milwaukee County Board who was all but forced from her job there because GOP Gov. Scott Walker agreed to sign a special Milwaukee-only law downsizing the board and cutting its pay in half. The Wisconsin contingent is on Facebook:

(73,559 posts)We coordinate with them in the three-county region that I am active in, so that there aren't contests between Democrats and one of their candidates. Because we are outnumbered by republicans (and independents), there have been several times we've run one of their candidates, as well. We've won about 50% of the times that we've done that.
