Beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and their allies temporarily blocked a vehicle entrance to Disneyland on Monday, just as the Senate reached an agreement to end the government shutdown brought on in part by a stalemate over their future.
The DACA recipients, commonly called Dreamers, stood in a crosswalk at South Harbor Boulevard around 10 a.m. and blocked buses from entering the Anaheim theme park. The 15 protesters were quickly removed by law enforcement officers and were relocated to a sidewalk, where they continued holding signs and chanting, No dream! No deal!
By 10:40 a.m. the protesters had left the area.

(25,183 posts)have a relatively sympathetic American population right now, unless they figure out how to screw that up.
Taking family vacations away from people who are not part of the problem is a poor stab at a solution.

(47,558 posts)That's hardly "taking family vacations away".

(25,183 posts)When you think of what it cost a family to travel across maybe half the country, just to spend a few days (because that's all they can afford) then a couple of hours really cuts into that trip.
Again, if you want to turn the mood of middle America against the DACA beneficiaries, then keep on screwing with people who are not part of the problem, you might just motivate them to side with the GOP.
What did Occupy Wall Street get us? We still ended up with the Dotard as our president.
