White House defends controversial Trump campaign ad

From "The Hill"

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Monday defended a controversial ad released by President Trump's campaign over the weekend that accused Democrats of being "complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants."

"I think if people are unwilling to secure our borders and unwilling to end chain migration, unwilling to end the visa lottery system and unwilling to fix all of the problems we have in our immigration system and aren't willing to negotiate and actually do things to fix a system that we know to be problematic, then yes, that's a problem and would allow for future incidents to take place," Sanders said.

I'm sure Republicans should agree that using the EXACT SAME LOGIC, they are complicit in every murder committed with a gun. There's no escaping it. The DNC should get a duplicate ad out right now replacing immigration points with equivalent gun points, such as (modifying Sarah Huckabee-Sanders' statement from above): " If people are unwilling to ban certain high powered weapons, stand in the way of universal background checks and actually do things to fix a system we know to be problematic, then yes, that's a problem and would allow for future incidents to take place."

From the ad itself: "President Trump is right - build the wall, deport criminals, stop illegal immigration now," the ad says, showing clips of Democratic Minority Leaders Sen. Chuck Schumer(N.Y.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (Calif.). "Democrats who stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants."

My proposed revision: "President Obama is right - implement universal background checks, keep terrorist's weapons of choice off of America's streets, close the gun show loophole now." [The ad shows clips of Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (KY) and Rep. Ted Cruz (TX).] "Republicans who stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by a gun."

Roll with it, Dems. Hit back hard. Fuck the Republicans. Fuck 'em high and fuck 'em hard.
