An interesting point was made on MSNBC just now -

They were talking about how Miller and Kelly seem to have taken over the DACA debate and influenced Trump to oppose any relief for DACA people. Stephanie Ruhl pointed out that there was no way Trump (and the GOP hardliners) would ever agree to DACA relief as long as Kelly and Miller had Trump's ear, and then the panel speculated that maybe Lindsey Graham deliberately was accusing those two of controlling the debate, which would piss Trump off because he likes to think he alone is in control of everything - so is Graham trying to sabotage Kelly and Miller? Interesting.

They did not have a leg to stand on. If anything, the Democrats helped them get that issue off the table.

They have no intention of letting DACA go quite so easily, and will go to the mat on it again if need be.

I'd like to know exactly why the repubs are going to be more amenable in 17 days, to do something they could do today if they wanted?

You are guessing like all of us, but YOU have to have an alternative, what is it?

I dont have to have an alternative, however. But like others are asking, what is yours?

Do you at least acknowledge the GOP and their supporters dont CARE about the federal gvt being open or closed?

when I saw Graham's comments...IMO he was chumming the waters in order to piss off the Dotard sending him the message that the secret is out...we all know that he doesn't know what the hell he is doing.

So, if I'm ever in a life-threatening situation, and Lindsay Graham is the only person in a position to save me, it's comforting to know that he'll do his level best to make a four-rail billiards shot to try to help out, instead of doing something a little more direct.

Here of late, I had written off Senator Graham. My opinion is changing. The Senator appears like he is trying to bring together a bipartisan coalition'. Judging from the vote count, will the house accede to the Senate version. I'm curious about the details concerning CHIP, especially the health care facilities.

Is he trying to take Immigrant/Immigration issues out of the 2018 elections?

Personally, I don't think ANY child brought here recently or long ago should be a candidate of deportation. They should have been granted full citizenship when they turned 16 or 18.

They feel they have to manipulate Trump by threatening his ego in order to get him to do what they want. It's insane that we have a president whose conduct and decisions as president are controlled by his psychological needs.
