(12,132 posts)I still say the single funniest half hour of network sitcom television was the first time Paul Ruebens (PeeWee Herman) guest starred on Murphy Brown.
Now I haven't seen it in 25 years so I don't know if it holds up but I remember having to stop and rewind the VHS over and over because I kept missing stuff from laughing so much.

(11,238 posts)I had forgotten how funny Miles was, for example. And Corky Sherwood who burst into tears when she realized if she married her beau whose last name was Forrest her name would be Corky Sherwood Forrest. What a great show.
great! now I gotta go look the old episodes up.

(2,120 posts)... we can also return to a time when the worst thing a red-head asshole self-envisioned Republican leader could say was to grumble about Murphy Brown being a single Mom?
'Cause I'd trade Trump for Danny "Potatoe" Quayle any day!

(15,286 posts)What will the premise be that she's still working? She's like many of my baby boomer cohorts and has to keep working because she can't afford to retire? Just asking...
