Well, that's what my local ABC station's news said tonight.
"Trump is the center of attention,
and the talk of the town in Davos,
as world leaders wait their turn to meet with him."
and:
"After the first few hours,
Trump has already declared Davos a huge success for his economic policies."
Is that an accurate report?
I'm doubting it.

(22,050 posts)If you witnessed a train wreck, why wouldn't you look at it? It's the same for any other extraordinary event.
If I saw a plane crash, I certainly wouldn't look away. First, it would be a unique event that should be seen by a person so they can relate the experience. That's what journalism and other forms of expression are all about.
Second, my account of this hypothetical event might help investigators understand what happened. This would be especially true if I had the efficiency of mind to use my smart phone to video any part of the experience.
Lastly, human nature seems to have a voyeuristic quality to it. That's why people rubber-neck at accidents on highways. It's why people watch dangerous activities.
I cannot think of a reason that I would look away from a unique experience.

What I saw in another news video was him on an escalator telling a reporter he is "ACCEPTED" and pointed to the crowd in front and behind him - and the man behind him grimaced and pulled his whole body backwards while SHITLER was waving his arms.
