It's already started. trumper excited about more money in pay check due to tax overhaul.

So I work with a trumper. He's ecstatic. He tells me his wife's paycheck was $80 more this time due to trump's tax plan (I don't know if it was; didn't think it was supposed to happen this soon, but he believes it was due to trump/taxes).
My point is, trumpers are not considering what social programs are being robbed to pay for this tax scam, the deficit - which they suddenly don't care about - it will create, or any unseen, possibly catastrophic ramifications it may create down the road. "As long as it benefits me and mine, I don't give a fuck where it comes from or who hurts to get it." They don't even realize oligarchs are playing them - throwing the rubes a few shekels to buy future votes.
Personally, I refuse to be grateful for blood money.

My company gave all the lower level employees a $1000 bonus and then paid for it by handing walking papers to the a large segment of middle management which also included me.

Yeah. Great tax overhaul. I am thrilled.

When I got pulled out of planning meetings for this I suspected it was going to be a casualty. This week I found out I was right. In the meantime I had applied for around 135 jobs over the past 4 months, been rejected for 40, but have 3 interviews scheduled tomorrow. I read the tea leaves correctly and am well on my way compared to those who were caught off guard.

My company sent out an email stating that they were changing the federal withholding due to the tax cut. I’ll get $200 more a month. I can’t help but wonder what I and everybody else will be giving up for that $200.
