I believe what we're seeing now in the GOP Congress and among Trump's acolytes

is pure, red-line, bowel-emptying panic. They thought that if they just kept pretending that everything was going "very very well---better than ever before"---that eventually SOMETHING would somehow rescue them from the disaster they had watched advancing on them since November 9, 2016.
Their childish and possibly criminal attacks on Robert Mueller are like the squealing wild-eyed thrashings of Quint in the maw of the great shark. And, I believe, like Quint, they are going down, consumed by the monster they created. All that's missing is that music.

Exactly what was/is Ryan's and McConnell's involvement? Were they involved from the beginning?

So is the Supreme Court (R-majority) for allowing the Citizen's United ruling to become law. But so is the Republican Party who relies on a few mega-donors and dark money to keep them afloat. The Republican "base" don't have 2 nickels to give to support the Republican Party. It's all about the mega-donors and foreign dark money needed to fuel their existence. Selling out this country is the only way they can remain a viable political party.

The Big Fish told them "pass it or don't call me anymore". So they slashed $1.5 Trillion from Medicare and Medicaid in November. Now they had the number to work with on taxes. They cut the big Fish's taxes then started nickel and diming so the added debt (assuming extended 3-5% GDP growth) stayed under $1.5 Trillion.

They cut the special exception for blind people for crying out loud. ....and a lot of other shit.

I love how proud they like to say they are the Party of Lincoln while they act as the Party of the Confederates.

turns out like the guilty would like it to. Never. What are they smoking to live in such a lala land of denial and fantasy? And to engage in all those actions trying to thwart the investigation or lead people astray is just lunacy.
