I thought I would start posting these nightly, for DUer's interest.
The Rachel Maddow Show is available as both a video and an audio podcast. The audio podcast is about 40 MB download; the video would be larger. They are available some time after 11:00 PM eastern time on nights she broadcasts. Often this also includes substitutes, like Joy Reid.
Point your podcast aggregator towards Rachel Maddow for details.
Where I live there is no cable TV and no broadband INet. So I am limited to cellular connection download limits. Rachel's audio podcast download suits me fine.
(Lawrence O'Donnell recently has been added to the MS/NBC podcast channel. I will be adding a thread for his program as soon as I get it fixed up.)
Edit: I need a standard format for these nightly posts.

(17,168 posts)I, for one, really appreciate a roundup of the current stories. I'm in Australia, so can't watch live - limited to MSNBC web and Youtube the following day (here time!)
Now I can search for stories by keyword. Thanks again.

(40,416 posts)That's the beauty of this. Everybody can participate. Here in the Manistee National Forest in rural west Michigan there is no cable TV, no broadband INet, not even an NBC affiliate TV station.
But I can download Rachel Maddow's nightly program and now Lawrence O'Donnell's too. That via download limited cellular INet connection since they are audio podcasts.
You can, too.

(17,168 posts)Just not a format that works for me for a number of reasons. I watch iPad with half an eye while I work on computer.

(40,416 posts)I have a standard iPad App named "Podcast". I suggest that you start there.

(17,168 posts)Technically, no problems. Holding my attention without the visuals - another matter. Do you know how hard it is for an Aussie to follow a rapid speaker with an American accent? Watching the lips and faces helps.
Great answer, mate.
Wish I could help you. I suggest that you see if MS/NBC is still posting Rachel's video podcast.
Other than that, I have no trouble listening to Aussies, so your complaint is a bit confusing to me.
No matter. The best to you.

(40,416 posts)I appreciate your support.
This is a good thing, and I think I can manage this nightly with my limited download and all.
I am also going to do a nightly Lawrence post since MS/NBC has just now started posting his podcasts, too.
