I'd say that Republicans can't win unless they cheat. Baffling that the self-styled party of All Things Moral would be such a bunch of scoundrels.

You'd think that 18 years on, the popular media would have caught on by now. Strange!

In NC the county and state election boards have a majority that is the same party as the governor (the state board is appointed by him or her). When Cooper won the legislature passed a law that changed this. They made the boards evenly divided and required a 2/3 super majority to make any changes. This would have locked in the suppression that they put in, in 2016. This will let early voting be expanded in counties such as Wake and Mecklenburg (Raleigh and Charlotte). Oh, and it can't be appealed. This is great.

Morgan victory returns Democratic majority to NC Supreme Court

snip//

RALEIGH - Beyond Roy Cooper’s continuing lead in North Carolina’s still-unresolved governor’s race, the state’s Democrats may be happiest about winning a majority on the state Supreme Court for the first time in nearly 20 years.

More.. OMG!

I use to live in Asheville in the '70s and my sister lives in Fairview now.

Always quite interested in North Carolina.. I was thrilled like everyone when Cooper won!
