He was a member of our Dem Club when I lived in RR 30 years ago. And then I think he became Mayor maybe 25 years ago. Bill Richardson was our U.S. Representative.

I live in Albuquerque. We now a democratic mayor. Hopefully soon a democratic governor for the state.
