So I listened to most of Mitt Romney's speech today.

The tone was strident and he used several PNAC dog whistles, even using the term "American Century" several times while saber rattling at nearly every country on the neocons' hit list.

It was so jingoistic that it was hard to stomach the idea that ANYBODY would think that more wars would be good for America's international image. That we should be the world's policeman AND also install the neocons' idea of a "democracy" using the end of a rifle barrel. This usually means putting someone who is "Western friendly" which involves a dictator who rules for decades using sham elections, terror tactics against the population and the ol' "give 'em an enemy so that they have someone to fight but us" strategy of keeping a population in line. These beneficent purveyors of "freedom" then keep the oil flowing and use the money to by the surplus military crap that the armed forces no longer need or want.

The fact is that if we get Romney as President, you can pretty much bet that there will be more feet-on-the-ground wars.

Another fact is that Mitt "The Iron Chicken hawk" Romney feels so strongly about involving us in war yet he NEVER served. Of course, then there's his 5 sons. Want to guess how many have served or are currently serving their country in this Amerification of the world...none.

So Mitt Romney, the chicken hawk, dodged the Vietnam War while he staged counter protests against those protesting the war AND he offshores a good portion of his money in tax havens.

What "responsibility" hasn't Mitt Romney shirked? And now he wants to be President.

10. We get to hear about how much it costs everytime an Obama

leaves the White House for an R&R.

It costs $40,000-$50,000 a day for the SS to provide security for presidential candidates (just ask Gingrich). I wonder how much the cost is for an overseas trip for God-Knows-How-Many Romneys to attend plus space on top of the plane for their horse.

Anyone think that this will be reported? I'm guessing not as the MSM tries to keep the race close to prop up their ratings.

...you have no idea what he will do in office. That is the problem.

Wait, I take that back. You can be assured that he will find a way to reward his sugar daddies and shift more income to the top.

After all, he is a BananaRepubliCon...

It's good to have someone doing surveillance. His war-mongering should set off loud alarms! One of the pundits said that the speech was written by neo-cons.

You deserve an "atta boy" for your sacrifice!

11. You are overreacting.

He doesn't really mean that.
He says whatever he thinks the current audience wants to hear.
He never in injects his own feelings or opinions into his talks (he probably doesn't have either.)
He's all about parroting old chestnuts that make the audience feel warm and fuzzy.

The real problem is that if he did win the presidency he will be someone's puppet.
The puppet master is the person you have to worry about, not Romney.
Who that will be is a matter of debate but if its a Neocon, THEN you can worry.

The Republicans are famous for serving up blowhard chicken hawks who are only too happy to send other people off to fight, be maimed and die for the sake of massive Republican-1%-corporate PROFIT.
