Three quotes from Mario Cuomo
You campaign in poetry. You govern in prose.
Every time I've done something that doesn't feel right, it's ended up not being right.
I talk and talk and talk, and I haven't taught people in fifty years what my father taught me by example in one week.

Watching Ken Burns America on streaming. Mario Cuomo was featured for a few words about the Statue of Liberty. A child of Italian immigrants as am I. Telling us how much the statue meant to him as a result of what it meant to his parents.
